 The Kalgin Island Lodge is located in the heart of one of Alaska's finest fishing areas, abundant with Halibut, King Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, and Coho Salmon to name a few. The lodge, located on the shores of an inland lake, is home to prized and record-sized Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Salmon. Alaska's Kalgin Island Lodge is truly a sportfishing paradise.
In addition, Kalgin Island has significant viewable wildlife. Moose, waterfowl and shorebirds are found in close proximity to the lodge, and clear summer days boast nearly 24 hours of daylight. The view from the lodge deck is stunning, with the mighty Alaska Range, as well as the prominent volcanoes of Mt. Redoubt and Mt. Spurr, in the backdrop. The inland lake upon which the lodge is situated stretches peacefully for two miles beyond the lodge deck, interrupted only by the continual splash of rainbow trout and salmon.
